Singers:
Marsh Hall, Terry White, Rachael
Lampa, Stacie
Orrico, Lauryn
Hill, Mariah
Carey, Take6,
Harry Connick
Jr
Marsh is from Lexington, KY but bounces back and forth between
Nashville, Indy, Chicago and Lexington doing studio stuff. This
white boy has got some SOUL! He's done a massive amount of studio
work and sang backup for Clay Crosse along with the chick who
used to be in Avalon (with blonde hair). Terry has sang with many groups including The Sound and Truth. Since leaving Truth, he's become one of the main studio singers in Nashvegas. He's done BGV's on many people's albums and just finished recording bgv's for Donna Summers...doesn't that rock? IMHO, he sounds like a caucasian stevie wonder. He's got SO much talent and will probably go solo within the next 2 yrs I'd guess. Rachael is a newcomer
to CCM and is only like 14 yrs old. She has an incredibly high
chest voice and can easily match all the licks/runs that Christina
Aguilera does. She and the next chick were discovered at Estes
Park, CO at the Christian Artists Seminar. Stacie Orrico is like
13 and still in braces. She most reminds me of Lauryn Hill and
her new album is FUN! I've liked Mariah Carey since day once and
she truly has an all around incredible voice. She needs to wear
a bit more of clothing and improve her reputation a little. Take6
takes Manhattan Transfer to a new level. They always have been
and always will be. Harry Connick Jr is my favorite singer because
he most reminds me of ol blue eyes Frankie Sinatra [plus his wife Jill Goodacre used to be the VS model and is HAWT!]. Smooth as
silk baby! [harry's singing that is!! lol] |

Movie Stars: Kevin
Costner, Catherine
Zeta Jones-Douglas, Claire
Forlani
I've always liked Kevin Costner as a person and actor. I have
every movie he's ever made and am now collecting his DVDs. There's
something that draws me to him, like he's the good neighbor
next door who would help you if you needed something fixed.
He made a big mistake with Bridgette Rooney but I guess we all
do in other ways. CZJ is just flat out HAWT!!!!! I know she
is the most attractive person I've ever seen. Claire Forlani
is VERY pretty, but CZJ is just flat out sexy! [cool bucket
of water being dumped as we speak]

TV Shows:
Will
& Grace (oct 12th), The
Practice (oct 8th), Once
& Again (season premiere oct 24th)
If phrases like this crack you up, then Will & Grace
is the show to watch. "Honey, your life is as simple as that
blouse you're wearing". I like watching The Practice because
the good guy usually wins and I actually feel like I'm learning
about law (hope they follow the book!). I like watching Once and
Again because it's the only show I feel is pretty realistic as
far as real life experiences go. I like how they have the character
explain how they're feeling; there's great chemistry between billy
campbell and selah ward. I can't believe Billy Campbell only washes
his hair once a week. I'd do that too if I thought my hair would
look like that hahahha |
Car:
Honda
Civic
I like the Civics because they're very practical and efficient,
just like me!! LOL I had to ask myself, "What do you want
in a car?" My answer was: great gas mileage, no repairs like
ever, cd player, keyless entry and splash guards. I could've gotten
a Camry but Civics are MUCH cheaper and Consumer
Reports always rate them pretty high. |
Honey:
Sue Bee
One time when I was in the kitchen heating up some Eggos, I was
getting some honey out of the cabinet when it hit me. I thought
I had came up with THE GREATEST marketing phrase known to man.
"Sue Bee or NOT Sue Bee...that is the question!" Wasn't
that clever? I was thinking they could finally at least have a
decent commercial with a catchy slogan thanks to me. ok so anyways,
I emailed them my idea and they basically responded back by saying
"no". I was crushed but that's ok; it's still my honey
of choice. |

Churches: Eastland
Church of God, East
Side Church of God, Southland
Christian Church
My home church has been and always will be Eastland Church
of God in Lexington, KY. I was saved, baptized and attended
there for 18 yrs. When I went to college in Anderson, I attended
East Side. I LOVED the music there and Pastor Kerry's preaching
my last couple of years there. The level of musicianship there
was outrageous. Everyone was practically a studio musician,
toured with an artist, or wrote music professionally. Most importantly,
I got to watch them actually live what they sang about. Todd
Tyler, Trish Feagan and Missy Butler had been trying to get
me to join HIS Choir at Southland for a long time. I was in
HIS Choir for 2 yrs in high school and absolutely loved it.
Most importantly, I met a whole new group of people who have
really supported me down through the years. Todd and I emailed
back and forth a little while I was in college and he wanted
me to come back and be a part of the music program at Southland
when I graduated. Thanks to him, I've had the opportunity to
sing solos, be on praise team, in choir, encounter singers,
and direct the Junior High Choir, Living Proof. It was a big
decision but I know God has me where he wants me right now.
Wednesday night at Encounter is my favorite service to go to,
followed by Saturday nights at 5pm.

Worship Leader:
If you like praise and worship with a groove, check out Tommy
Walker. I got the chance to hear him live at Willow Creek
Summer of 2000 at the Worship Arts Conference.
I was blown away by his humility and authenticity. Nancy Beach
interviewed he and his pastor and asked him questions like "What
keeps youat a smaller church in L.A.?" Honestly, if he didn't
feel like that was where he was supposed to be, he'd be at Willow
Creek in a heartbeat :) He was very personable up on stage and
during the interviews. It'd be cool to visit his church one day
and experience that. He's written TONS of songs we sing and wrote
Crystal Lewis's "Lord, I believe in You"; she's also
a fellow Californian. He's got a new album coming out with Integrity
Dec 2000 or Jan 2001. |
